Resume topics that are potentially touchy
by: pnmSome of my impressive leadership positions are on political campaign. I'm proud of the work I did and think it's a good reflection of my work ethic, but I know politics is a taboo topic in general and especially in rush. Should I keep these things on my resume or not?

ehhhhh i would maybe leave it out. no matter what, you would run the chances of someone feeling offended, and they would make a prejudice against you that could hurt your potential of getting a bid. best to remain neutral when it comes to politics in recruitment. i would keep it broad and say the position with a local political campaign and never say which one.

Is there anyway you could format it to where you say the work that you’ve done without quite stating who it was with? Maybe if it was a congressman referring to them as that instead of the name?
If it’s more of work with executive agencies or interest groups I would say that’s more safe to name. I cannot speak for every sorority though!!
Also super cool to already see you involved in that way you go girl!!!
