GPA cuts- Very Nervous!

by: worried

Hi so I will be rushing in the fall and I have been pretty worried about GPA cuts. My unweighted GPA is a 3.47 and my weighted is a 3.79. I just wanted to know how concerned I should be on that aspect. Also when registering in June should I put my weighted or unweighted GPA? THANK YOU!

you’ll be fine! if it’s above around a 3.2 you won’t be a grade risk or any concern. it’s once you start flirting around a 2.## when you should be worried!

list weighted unless it asks for unweighted. i’m pretty sure i put my weighted. on your PNM resume that you send to alum for letters put both and specify though! when submitting letters they sometimes need to know one or the other or both!

not true, my best friend is a tri delt and her gpa was a 3.3. a girl on my floor had a 3.42 and hot kappa. neither were legacies.

as someone in a top house who cuts grade risks, 3.47 is just fine.

Thank you! So if I have a 3.47 it will get thrown away or below a 3.4?

Most houses will probably base grades off of weighted, I’m in a top house and that’s how we do it at least

Thank you that’s actually so helpful. It just said they verified it with the university on the Greek life website so I wasn’t sure that it would be verified correctly it I put weighted!
