top six for real this time

Since there is such a controversy over who the “real top six” is. Let’s handle it here. For everyone saying we have a top five and not top six you are SO wrong. There is a top 6 and the rest can fall as they might. Arkansas has 10 amazing sororities and each is seen as the best in their own ways. Most popular opinion these days seem to be:
Kappa - 100% top now that chi o is dropping, seen as classy, drama free, however they seem to keep to themselves.
Zeta - no one likes to hear it or boost a zeta’s ego, BUT Pi Phi is dropping as well and is not seen as desired by many.
Pi Phi - still on this list because of grades, diversity and legacy, however they seem to be hibernating this year. Sweet girls, overall good house that just needs a bit more voice!
Tri Delt - took super cute girls, have a great house and many PNM’s enjoyed talking to them. No drama this year which is a boost for sure
ADPI/KD - no one will agree on which house deserves a higher spot, probably because they take different types of girls and are equally good houses so it can be hard to decide. ADPi got a great PC, is building a new house, seems like a fun sisterhood who talks to just about everyone on campus. KD lost to ADPi PC-wise but still has a gorgeous house and great reputation to keep up with, definitely a smart-girl vibe.
Anyone putting chi o on this list is a chi o. Anyone putting Phi Mu on this list is a Phi Mu. That’s okay though, next year maybe you will shine a bit brighter

I am proud of ADPi and their awesome pledge class this past year, but traditionally speaking the top 6 are likely to show during recruitment. The houses on the left take the more socially involved girls and the ones on the right take the more academically minded girls. Though all house like to take girls who are balanced between success inside and outside the classroom. I don’t think one pledge class is going to change this for recruitment. High school girls will have legacy ties and role models who are older who went to UofA that have shaped their notions going into recruitment. That being said, it is clear the Arkansas Panhellenic is very strong all around, all chapters are thriving, getting great girls, and poised for a great recruitment.
1/2-Chi-O/Kappa
3/4-Zeta/Pi-Phi
5/6 Tri-Delt/KD

Interesting but not sure if chi o will keep top spot. Lots of backlash from questionable choices and they are simply not well liked on campus. Most think they are better than everyone else. I have friends that are kappa and zeta ( I am in mid tier) but no chi o friends. It’s like that with many girls I know.

PNMS- even if you don't get a "top five" or "top six" house, your house is just as important and well liked as the others, if not more so! I am in a top house and I truly like more girls in other sororities than I do "top sororities". Just find the girls who you see yourself being friends with and actually liking!

The houses aren’t better just more difficult to get into and all attract girls for different reasons. Some girls may want to be a kappa or pi phi because they have a strong national reputation. Zeta may have girls wanting to be a part of their bubbly blond stereotypical sorority squad. Some girls may want to live in the Tri Delt house sophomore year ( not a Tri Delt but it really is an awesome house). Then Ofcourse you will always have the legacy /Little Rock girls that was born and bred to be a Chi - o at uark. BUT....honestly the main reason they are viewed as better is because people come on here and tell y’all so.

honestly yes, I do love some KD's though but they just did not make a great impression on a lot of girls during recruitment. I found them very boring and average, Adpi and Phi Mu are definitely above them this year.

I felt the same way! I had the most boring conversations at KD. I liked Phi Mu and Alpha Delta Pi so much more, they were outgoing and didn't ask bland questions, it felt like they actually wanted to get to know me and other girls I talked to.
