ready for change?!?
by: WpsI’ve noticed with the university now offereing the tuition waiver/ scholarship money to more states that girls from out of the south and far away states are coming to Fay. I wonder how the sororities will react to girls with no connections that don’t know much about sorority life. Will they be willing to take these unconnected girls from places they don’t have lots of girls from. I’m excited to meet these pnms during recruitment next year though!

This has been in effect for at least the last 3 fall recruitments & is possibly why the quality of ALL the new member classes has gone up.
The "top" houses have still gotten those great girls with momma's and grandmomma's local connections. This leaves the so-called middle & lower tiers LOTS of amazing girls to fill up their new member classes.

Since when does not having an in state connection mean you don’t know much about sorority life. Obviously you are some backroad Arkie Native. I’m from oos and every one in my immediate and extended family was or is Greek. Trust me. I knew all about sorority life before I can here. And yes. When the top houses limit themselves to a “connection only” mentality it opens up lots of possibilities for the rest. One of the major reasons that all the house on this campus have amazing members. The houses that realize that are the ones that will move forward
