legacy question...

by: Legacies

Did most of the houses get their legacies? I'm a legacy and will be attending Arkansas next year. I at some schools in the SEC--it can be just as touch being a legacy getting in as not being one. What's the probability of getting the house you're a legacy of?

It used to be if you were a legacy you were almost guaranteed to get a bid and if not there better be a good reason. However, each year there are more legacies. There were hundreds of legacies just this year at Arkansas. If the sororities took all their legacies they would be over quota with just legacies and still have to cut some. But some of the sororities cut legacies to other houses anyway. So it's probably better to keep your legacy status private. It hurts more than it helps.

Some houses are loyal and some houses aren't. But there are too many legacies now to concentrate on it too much.

ChiO cut a quadruple legacy and several double legacies. You're never guaranteed now due to more PNMs rushing

Kappa's been cutting double legacies for years and also cut a quadruple legacy. After all the money those alumnae have spent on that house, I find it to be very rude.
