new chapter experience?
by: springI'm curious to hear from anyone who joined one of the newer chapters in the early days. Would you recommend it? I regret not going through rush this fall and am thinking about spring rush...but my mom is an Alpha Gamma Delta and they will be here next fall. Wondering if the new chapter thing is a cool experience and worth the wait. I'm tired of missing out on all the fun!

hey girl! I joined a new chapter during their first formal recruitment and I’m not going to lie, it’s a lot of work forming an entire chapter! BUT, we had so much alumni support and a lot of girls stepped into leadership positions and made the chapter so, so worth it. Helping build a chapter, or re-build, is something that so few people get to experience. Years from now you can look back at a house and say yeah wow I was there when we all got to agree on the blueprints! & all other chapters help you out a little too with paired functions, formals, philanthropy events, etc. If you’re thinking about joining AGD, I’d say absolutely go for it! Hope this helped a little :)

I had the same experience as new! And I totally agree. It can be a lot of work but it’s really cool seeing that you built the chapter. In my opinion I think it would be really cool to share AGD with your mom.
