by: honest hogIf you don’t go Kappa, ChiO, PiPhi, Zeta or TriDelt then you are in the bottom tier. As an upper tier girl I can tell you 100% this is how greek life here views it. Not saying you can’t have a great experience in any house because you can. But as far as associating with each other there is a top and bottom hierarchy here not going away anytime soon. And please hold off on the post where your cousin had a friend whose sister went to camp with someone who’s an AOPi and is best friends with a ChiO. That’s great but it’s not the norm.

gonna say it so go ahead and hate on me for it. There is a top five and yeah I can be nice to girls in lower houses but that doesn’t mean they’re in my friend group. Most girls hang out with their sisters and then houses closest in rank to them. Not anything new there.

Why did someone feel the need to come on here and discuss houses that hang together? Even if this is true- why did it need to be said?
I guess a “top girl” didn’t feel like she was getting hmmmm- the respect (?!) she feels she is due? Maybe she saw some newer chapter girls-gasp- happy?! And. How. Dare. They.

This is the type of post that makes many of us on here cringe. I can only hope the recent houses who are moving up to the top tiers will replace this out of touch, entitled attitude just demonstrated with more positive viewpoints which are actually based in reality. Time to check that privilege.

Yes these are the top five sororities no question. HOWEVER it only matters during recruitment. The vast majority of girls try and land in one of these houses. After that it’s a free for all but seriously ALL houses are good here at uark. The benefit to being in a top five is recruitment may be a little easier. I don’t believe top tier house won’t associate with someone from bottom tier. Maybe a small percentage but then if their like that bless their hearts. Must be super insecure.

Just because a house is top tier doesn't mean the girls are snobby, superficial, and mean.
Just because a house is middle or bottom tier doesn't mean the girls are more genuine or noble or sisterly than girls in top houses.
Fix yourselves instead of being bitter and jealous of your betters. 🙂

Bc these houses wouldn’t dream of coming on here defining their friends w letters. That seems to be a ahem, “top” behavior. Here is hoping one day you’ll look back and be embarrassed if your behavior towards fellow UARK students.
