being cut by all houses
by: !is it possible to be cut by every house? Especially if you are an out of state student with no connections, but have good gpa and letters of rec?

The system is set in a way that tries to ensure all sororities make their quota. Girls will drop out that get cut from the houses they were interested in, leaving spots open for other girls to find a house! Your sorority experience will be what you make of it! Best of luck

Yes, it’s possible to be cut from all chapters or to get to a point during rush in which you get no invitations to the next round. The only time you’re guaranteed a bid is when you have a Pref invitation. If you list the houses you attended for Pref (even if you only attend 1) on your Pref card, you’re guaranteed a bid to one of them.
That said - lots of unconnected OOS girls rush and get bids every year so get strong lined up and give every house a chance!
