do sororities discriminate against minorities?
by: concerned
I'm a minority student and got a bid, but noticed not many other minority students got into any house.
And looking the pages of others, I very rarely see someone of color. And the ones of color have little to no culture of their origin and have adopted western culture entirely.
I do realize the schools is 80% white, but Greek houses are almost homogenously white.
What gives?

No. The sororities and fraternities do not discriminate against minorities. you go to school in Fayetteville, Arkansas where like you said, the school is predominantly white. so that is why the ratio is low for seeing people of color in social media pics. But pretty sure most all sororities and fraternities here have people of many races/color.

You hit the nail on the head Uark is 80% white that leaves 20% only 10% might rush and then out of that 10% some will make the choice to through Pan-hellenic. Those are some awesome sororities! We have diversity in the Panhellenic groups but not like you would see at schools that diversity is greater then Uark.
