just wondering :)
by: PNMHi! How hard is it to get a bid from Tri Delt, KD, ADPI, or Phi Mu? If someone could explain the difficulty to get into each one that would be great! Those are some of my top choices and I'm obviously going into recruitment with an open mind but would like to know how they typically factor in GPA, recs, etc! Thank you and I hope everyone is having a great work week!!

In order of difficulty:
TriDelt - connections help the most here, grades are important but looks and personality count for more.
KD- connections matter less, more of a focus on grades and leadership.
ADPi- don’t need connections, focus on personality. have a sweet girl reputation who was involved in hs.
PhiMu- don’t need connections, recruited too much on looks and not enough on reputation last year so not sure about this year - they may try the opposite approach to help them out.

All 4 of those are great groups. Good solid houses.
GPA will be set high for those chapters and that is the easiest first round of cuts for a house.
KD - 3.53
Tri Delta 3.52
ADPI 3.46
PhiMu 3.42
Uark has 3 better houses with GPA and 3 worse house with GPA. 1 other house sits with these but you didn't ask about them.
If you have rec's then that will help if they are UARK recs that is even better. If your recs were written by a friend or just a rec from a stranger it all makes a difference but if you have a rec is better tehn not having one at all.
Are you put together? Not going to say pretty because that ruffles peoples feathers. Those chapters want girls that are put together and can hold a conversation.
Relax and enjoy rush. It is a once in a lifetime experience. High's and low's. Know that each day when you get your party invites those houses that have asked you back saw something in you! Forget about any houses you don't have as they have moved on.

No that is not where they will cut off. Each sorority will have their own cut off for GPA. Just be aware that it will be as high, just guessing but at least a 3.30. If you have a 3.0 expect big cuts the first round. Nothing personnel but that is just a great way to manage numbers. Yes, you can have several members who have lower GPA's but I can guarantee that they had some great rec's and were "put together".
