Agree that both houses are amazing! All sororities will be housed this year which is a big accomplishment! Pnms can’t go wrong with any house here! They are all filled with great sisters! Will def see a bump in ranks because of it! Who doesn’t love a new, shiny house!

DG house is 30,500 sq ft
KD is is 40,000 sq ft
And there are some that are still bigger than that

If you look at rankings the top houses are also the largest and the bottom ranked houses are the smallest in square footage.

DG seems so nice with the large yard & parking lot. Nice that the girls will be able to park so close. Also,they have room to grow & expand when/if they want to. Seems like they were smart not to over build something or build something too big for the land. Stayed within a budget but thinking about future needs. Congrats on the beautiful house!

Interesting that the four newest sororities all have the same size house. Is this a parameter that greek life/the university/or the city set on newer sororities? KD/ADPi are older established houses so they could build larger houses because they have been on campus longer? It just seems odd that the last four sororities have the exact same square footage.

I think the newer houses were under pressure to build as soon as possible. AOPi built a house that is now structurally falling apart and no money to fix it. PhiMu teased pnms for years with their grand pics and ended up with an office building design that’s hollow in the middle and wood in parts instead of brick due to running out of money. AXO built fast once they saw PhiMu was actually gonna build so they built what they could. It’s nice but no custom wallpaper or 6 figure chandeliers in the entry. It’s more like an upscale dorm. These newer houses just don’t have the alum money like a Kappa or ChiO or even TriDelt houses had the advantage of. From what I’ve seen DG will be one of the prettiest on Maple and if it’s really that small then I’m impressed because it looks like one of the biggest.

Happy for DG and their beautiful soon to be home. KD looks awesome too. AXO also built a beautiful home within budget. It seems to be only AOPi and PhiMu that ran into money troubles.

ChiO has a full size basement that you can’t see from the street that adds to their size. So it’s four stories not the two it looks from the street.

During recruitment last year DG said they would have the 2nd largest house in the SEC, not sure if that’s true anymore but that’s what I remember them saying

i heard that during KD construction they hit rock so now it will be the same size as before because they couldn’t add on lol. maybe i’m wrong though

Kid's house will be ready - they have the most AMAZING beautiful chandelier in the foyer with a beautiful wrap around staircase- just breathtaking- this is so exciting- so many girls going through rush dont have the opportunity to live in their own house much less an estate. Arkansas is so blessed!

I think what the OP is saying is not every university has a greek row - in Texas there are several schools were they get a floor or campus owned house which is no were near the level of what Arkansas's sororities get as far as housing is concerned- we are just blessed here aT UA
