There is no bad house at UARK, every house is great and we are so lucky to have such an amazing greek community!! So PNM’s go where you feel most at home, because no one will bash you for being in a “bad” house, because there isn’t one!!!

Yes, there aren’t bad houses when you look at all houses at other schools but when you compare them to one another, some do outshine the others. They get to be pickier with which PNM’s they take, better GPA’s, etc. There are some undeniable things that make particular houses better.

Just because someone has a best friend in the house or alumni connections does not make them better PNMs than others. For the top 2 houses especially (minus the one or two that get in without connections), a PNM doesn’t have a chance without knowing someone REALLY well. Does that make them a less desirable PNM? No way!!! It just means that they don’t have connections. Get real, there are really great PNMs that are bid to each house!!! If you really believe that only the top PNMs go to the top couple houses, you are delusional. Great sisterhood is found in each and every house, grow up and lose the elitist attitude, it really is not necessary.

Thank you for posting this. This is the message these young women should be hearing. Let’s make room at the table for everyone. There is room for everyone to have value and feel that they belong. Why is this so hard for all of you to do? What would happen if this is the message that all pnms heard over and over again? What if they weren’t handed a list of who is desirable and who is not? What if? Our young women need to feel empowered and valued. Let’s give them all a chance to make their own decisions and not feel defeated from the first day of recruitment. I find this old outdated elitist attitude so surprising in 2019. Come on ladies you can do better.

Sorry snowflakes. Not every house is equal. Not everyone gets a prize. Some houses are better than others. Can you still have a great experience in a bottom house? Absolutely! But to tell a pnm that PhiMu or AOPi is the same as Kappa or ChiO is simply not true.
