by: PnmCan you still fit in at Kappa if your family doesn’t have lots of money? I’m more Old Navy than Lululemon but think I would be a good fit with them in everything else - grades, activities, looks.

goes back to money and connections needed to get a top house. nothing new there. so yeah if your dad’s a billionaire you’re probably getting a top house. if your family donates millions then you’re getting in too. if you’re wearing old navy and working your way through school you’re not gonna be a kappa but there’s still lots of other great houses.

It's not about money, it's about connections. Connections are about where you went to high school and who your friends were, who your parents socialize with - all translated into how those people connect to chapters here and give you pull/make you known. It's not who you are, it's who you know. You can have a lot of money but if no one here knows you or anyone who does, then the $$$ are irrelevant.

people that have money hang out with people that have money. you’re not gonna live in a mansion and have your bff live in a trailer. that’s the connection - money.

Hahaha getting in without connections? Almost unheard of. Maybe 1 or 2 pnms get in without knowing someone in Kappa.
