How much does being apart of a top house cost? How much does it cost to live in a top house?

The rank of the house doesn’t determine the cost to be a part of it. The lookbook gives the average cost per year to be in a house here. Some are more and some are less.

All houses cost around the same. All houses offer the same sorority/social experience. You are imagining a difference that doesn't exist. Go to the uark greeklife page to get cost info.

hey girly
okay so the rank of the house DOES (in most cases) affect the cost. I have friends in a bunch of different sororities and I can give you the roundabout costs for the houses that I KNOW the costs of (or at least what they were last year)

the average cost for a sorority here at UARK is like 2,500, that is for REGULAR MEMBERS on average. NEW MEMBER dues CAN BE higher because there are a lot of new member activities that only new members get to do. So, new member dues on average might be about 3,000.

TOP HOUSES NEW MEMBER DUES: my roommate freshman year went KKG and her new member dues were 6,000ish, Zeta's are about 5,000, PiPhi and ChiO are about 4,500-5,000. HOWEVER, I know that a few of these houses try to only get girls from rich areas in their state that way they know they can afford it.

I DO NOT KNOW the new member dues for DDD and KD, sorry :( but I would estimate around 3,500

REST OF HOUSES NEW MEMBER DUES: PhiMu is 5,000ish just bc their house cost more than they expected. AXO, DG, ADPi, AOPi are all around 2,000-2,500

KEEP IN MIND that most houses do offer scholarships (DG and AXO offer the most scholarships from what I've heard).

again, this is just what i've heard. if these are not completely on point I'm sorry, but this is just what friends have told me in the past. also remember that these numbers I've given are the dues for the WHOLE YEAR. hope this helps if you are nervous about the costs!

On point fo KD & DDD pricing! Also PNM's - remember this includes food. 5-10 meals per week at the house, so you can adjust your residence hall meal plan accordingly during the first week of classes.

DG offers academic scholarships which don’t help with dues.

I’m a ZTA who pays her own dues and they are NOT $5,000, around $3,000 actually.

Houses such as kappa have higher dues because everything is included. You aren’t expected to fundraise all the time and won’t get hit each week with all kinds of ancillary costs like some other houses. So other than T-shirt’s daddy only has to write a one time check. No scholarships to any top houses are given. I agree that a new house can make your dues higher.
