gpa for pnm
by: :)me and a lot of my friends have 3.2 gpas will that automatically get us cut from all the top houses even with lots of recs and a good resume? we are all very outgoing and involved but does that even matter to houses if our gpa is lower than average

I hate that we set up pnms to have unreal expectations. You will probably be cut from the top 6 houses based on gpa alone unless you are a legacy or have a strong relationship with an influential alum or several important members. Like the above said, it’s just an easy way to make the cuts of 1000 plus people. Pi Phi won’t even take grade risk legacies so pnms should know that.

That doesn’t mean you should drop out. All of the houses are good! There are girls you will mesh with in every single house. Stick with it. Trust the process. All you need is one house when you open your card on bid day. The rest doesn’t matter.

Count on being cut by ChiO Kappa PiPhi Zeta and probably KD. You might have a chance at TriDelt depending on your other factors. The lower houses like ADPi AXO PhiMu and DG won’t care about your gpa since they are going after girls cut by the top houses. Take any bid you get since all houses are great!

Last year Tri Delt cut 1200/1800 first round with a 3.4 baseline, so that one is not likely either. But there are other fun houses to look at.....sign up!

How many pnms do phi mu and adpi cut? these are the two i’m most interested in for different reasons

People on this site are such liars, some girls in XO and KKG who were stunning and from the right zip codes w/connects didn't have this 3.4 or 3.5 cutoff and still made it in. Other houses did the same, it is looks and money over grades with every top sorority here and some of the try hard mids too.

I’m in a top house and we have a 3.4 base line and will cut anyone below that. We are only allowed to take 2 “grade risks” PNMs if that, and that will probably only happen if they are “tops” and have good connections. Sorry but some of the lower ranked houses are great as well! Definitely still rush

So if I am legacy for one of the top five houses will I still get an invite back to second night with a bit below a 3.4? I was told being legacy there will be a “ complimentary “ invite to second round. Maybe that doesn’t apply to below 3.4???

just being brutally honest, there are over 1700 girls going through recruitment and hundreds of them are beautiful, have 4.0 or above, connections, perfect resume, are outgoing, etc. so a low GPA is a very easy cut for us the first round. i’m sorry :( there are other amazing houses here
