any chance to get in chi o if from texas?

There are Texas girls in EVERY house here! I do see ChiO and Kappa Texas girls are mainly from Highland Park/Preston Hollow, Alamo Heights or River Oaks/Memorial areas. Suburban girls will be in all the other houses. Not sure why those top two don’t recruit burbs girls as much.

I know of several ChiOs and several Kappas who are from normal Plano/Frisco Texas neighborhoods with "tract mega mansions". Not old money at all.

Why are you trying to make the top 2 seem super exclusive? I know a Chi O who parents are so far in debt, it’s crazy!! They live paycheck to paycheck and sometimes that’s not even enough! Her car is old and every year it’s a struggle to just have enough money to pay dues. I’m not saying this to be mean, I’m saying this to show you that you don’t have to have a ton of money to get a bid from the top 2. Yes, there are some super wealthy girls, but the top 2 houses are not full of them. All of the houses have girls that come from wealthy families. Every house here is great and you should be happy to get a bid from any of them!!

well the top two are exclusive and that’s why they’re the top two. but they recruit based of tons of factors not just your wealth.

I have not been on the other side of rush yet but it seems hard to believe that certain houses actually have the time to research your 75205 highland park zipcode or 75093 burb mega mansion zip code. For the record, I am in a top house from Texas in neither zip code. Knowing someone in the houses to pull for you matters more than your zip!

if a ChiO/Kappa goes to your high school and doesn’t recommend you then you will for sure be cut by the recruiting committee. So actually your high school can work against you!

Sad how all the houses have to chime in about “us too” whenever someone mentions ChiO or Kappa. Sounds like an inferiority complex to me. Those houses do care more about connections than money BUT since most of their members have money it makes sense their friends do too.

Top two recruit based on OLD money and tradition no matter what state you’re from. But it’s true they won’t be impressed with someone from a tract home mega mansion in Plano.
