importance of sorority you’re in

by:

Freshman year- this is when your friend groups form. You are so involved with new member activities that your social life is pretty much consumed by your house. Other girls will judge you based on your house rank. Top houses hang with top houses, middle with middle, bottom with bottom.
Sophomore year- friend groups are mostly established. Your house is still the most important thing in your social life. This is the peak year for involvement due to living in house, etc... Tiers still tend to hang together and you are still judged by your house.
Junior year- most of your friends are in your house or tier but it’s not as big of a deal. Everyone is starting to concentrate on their major and securing internships and begin to meet girls outside their social circle. Less focus on house activities.
Senior year- Again most of your friends are in your house or tier but that’s because of long lasting friendships you formed the first two years. Focus is on the future so no one cares anymore about your house or rank.

snobby girls in top houses still stick together through their senior year. I also think middle and bottom ranked houses don’t judge you on your house. Kappa and ChiO will associate with PiPhi Zeta and maybe TriDelt. After that then forget it.

There are some girls who tire of the drama and clique mentality within one year of membership- but cannot say a word to anyone in their chapter. I believe that applies to the traditional top houses here.

Top 5 here stick together. You don’t see Zeta hanging out with ADPi or Kappa talking to any PhiMu even though they are right next door.

I know for a fact that girls from all sororities hang out with all sororities. I know a Chi O who is best friends with a Phi Mu, a Kapaa who is really good friends with an AXO. So many more, too many to mention. Do most sororities hang out with their sisters the most....yes, but to say that people only hang out based on tiers is just not true!!!

This is a ridiculous post.
You make a huge argument for GDI.

The whole point of going Greek is being a part of something larger than yourself- to contribute and grow independently within the group as the group evolves.

Your statements reflect very little evolvement on your part. You sound like a great person to be around. (Eye roll)

lmao this is so dumb. If you choose to only hang with girls in your “tier” then you’re missing out on literally thousands of other girls Greek or nongreek. Make friends with girls outside your sorority, make friends with girls in your classes, cause when you graduate no one is going to care that what sorority you were in when you were 19-23. Being Greek or top tier does not make you better than any nongreek gals or “bottom” tier gals.

I’m in a “mid tier” sorority and have super good friends in top tier houses. They don’t care where i’m at. Chill out, please.
