I paid a lot of attention this year and noticed a lot of things.

I am putting Chi O at the bottom of the four. Although some of you may not agree, I have many reasons.

These girls continually choose the exact same girls every pledge class and know exactly who they are getting months before recruitment begins. This closes doors to top PNMs that they did not know beforehand. The alumni are behind most of this so I'm not blaming the active members as much, but they believe to have recruitment all figured out, which is so false. However, many Chi Os that talk to PNMs during recruitment fall in love with girls they're matched with, but they have to cut so many girls and many of them are not approved by the old women that are behind the scenes. This leads to Chi O letting the other 3 or 4 houses get so many girls they ACTUALLY wanted (thank you for that xoxo), which leads to those houses becoming stronger each year.

Many PNMs may think they want Chi O before recruitment even begins, when really, they would like the title and to put it in their bio on Instagram. Personally, there are many girls I have talked to during my recruitment year that had just "ok" conversations there and were honestly left not that impressed. Nothing special like they want you to believe they are.

What I have noticed from their 2018-2019 school year is that Kappa, Pi Phi, Zeta (other houses as well) have all outshined them in pretty much every category. These are the categories that Chi O is used to winning in the past, but not anymore!

They also didn't win greek sing or a single pep rally this year.

The houses above ^ have really stepped up and had such great recruitments the past 2 years that it has led them to be more well liked by other sororities (and fraternities). Those houses don't seem to have a stuck up attitude like many Chi O members tend to get once they get their bid cards (the attitude that they are above all other houses and only associate with certain people in certain houses if they are good enough for them and won't make them look bad).

Yes they are the founding chapter here, but that can only take them so far. They will continue to get quality girls, don't get me wrong, but many of them lack the personality and fun factor that the other houses are getting because their recruitment is controlled by 60 year old women.

Will they always be considered in the top 4? Probably, but as far as I'm concerned, these are the girls who are ordinary and tend to be brainwashed by their moms and other members by how great their chapter is, when really, there are 3 (or more) chapters here that are outshining them in just about every way.

During recruitment in this house, you will most likely be paired with someone you feel you have a lot in common with. This is because they want to make you feel like you belong and fit in there, when really, they will end up cutting you the same round.

So don't be fooled during recruitment and don't get your hopes up.
