does anyone have anything scary or bad that happened to them during recruitment either as an active or a pnm? what’s the worst thing a girl has said to you?

During recruitment, a girl at chi o told me I looked like iggy azalea. I was scarred and heartbroken. I completely dropped recruitment.

There was a girl who got a concussion when the Panera ice machine fell on her head and they had to cart her around to her parties and let her go back to her dorm to sleep

oh no ! that's sad! did she end up pledging? I guess it wasn't too bad, she got to go home and take naps versus waiting hours on end doing nothing!

first house first day was a lower ranked house. the girl who picked me up was so nervous and said she didn’t know what to say because I was going to cut them anyway. then she realized what she said and was even more nervous. I ended up carrying the conversation. yes I did rank them last and I got a top house bid but I still felt bad for the girl.

Similar for me though they didn’t say they were cutting me. I had to carry the WHOLE conversation because the active was too nervous.

I went through recruitment and was dropped by all houses. I am kind of shy and have trouble carrying a conversation but will do better once you get to know me. It was so awful. I still have PTSD to this day. A full year later.

I’m so sorry that happened. Recruitment is not a kind process. Hope you know that it was not a reflection on you. Hope you stayed at Arkansas and made good friends regardless of recruitment. There are tons of groups to be involved in- sending you hugs.

literally this girl in a top house shamed me on where I live lol. she asked about how my hometown was like and it led to me telling her that my parents own a huge cattle ranch and she talked for the rest of the time about how she was vegan and that eating meat and raising and using cattle is wrong and should be illegal... I got cut from this house obvi but I ended up in the one I wanted! You might have some weird conversations, but trust the system and it will all be okay :)

i literally peed myself as a PNM bc they wouldn’t let me use the bathroom before the party. in my TOP house. they still took me bc i don’t think anybody realized (it wasn’t a lot) but that’s my own personal horror story that’s just something to look back and laugh on now!
