not sure how to ask this..
by: PNMHi everyone. I wasn’t sure where else to ask this because it’s kind of sad / awkward I guess. In high school, I didn’t really have a lot of true friends. I don’t have pictures with people on social media or anything like that. Does that matter to any sororities at all? I’m just wondering what my chances are like if I look like someone who doesn’t have any friends.. I’m sorry if that sounds dumb, but will I be cut for something like this? I have excellent grades, test scores, involvement, etc... just lacking in the friend department. Thanks to anyone who can give me an answer.

You will be fine. Just be open to the process and hold conversations. Don’t overdue anything- which is sometimes difficult not to do. Be yourself- don’t put on an act. There may be some houses that value your Instagram page- but what matters most is you being relaxed- get your recs, and good luck.

hey girl, i'm not going to lie, recruitment can be very difficult for most people and honestly it can be a time where you experience a lot of rejection and disappointment. i know i had my heart broken when i was set on a house that dumped me on BID DAY (i had them on pref).
on the bright side, you will end up in a house that fits you. it really does work out that way. you have the grades and involvement and i promise you will be fine.
don't worry about little things like instagram.
get your recs, practice your conversation skills and be prepared to answer questions about yourself, and look presentable. most of all BE YOURSELF!
