I am nervous about recruitment. I don't know a ton of people going in and I can come off as shy/awkward before you get to know me. Should I just consider other organizations?

Go through recruitment! It’s not as bad as it sounds if you are open to a bid from all houses not just the top ones. You will get a chance to meet tons of new people and improve your social skills. There are plenty of shy/awkward girl who blossom when they join a sorority!

During recruitment the active girls will be the one keeping the convo going. Don’t worry about it! They practice all year too be able to talk to girls! Everyone is nervous and a little shy!

I went through recruitment last year and was definitely super nervous! Just make sure to keep an open mind and give all of the houses a chance. There are all different types of girls in every sorority, and you will definitely find one that you click with! :)
