oos student with no greek connections

I am going to Uark next year and from the midwest. I am not a legacy and where I am from Greek Life is not a huge thing. The rush process sees intimidating but I am excited. Honestly, I do not care about tiers or where I end up. I just want to end up in a house that I like. Does not coming from the south or not having a southern accent cause someone to be cut more often or are looked down upon. I have about 1-2 recs for each house have and a 3.4 gpa. If I go in with an open mind will I be cut from a lot of houses??

With no connections, probably will be cut from top Kappa and Chi O...but with the rest of houses you should be OK. Then it will be up to you with your conversation skills, activities in high school, etc. Be positive and be open to the process...you’ll do great!!!

You will have the rush you were meant to have and you will end up in the house right for you. You don't have much control so just worry bout your conversation skills, tasteful clothes and be yourself. You will be fine.
