how is theta chi not ifc?

From what some guys have told me it’s because the founder of the Arkansas chapter went around Parice so that she had no control over their chartering so now she dislikes theta chi and refuses to let them become IFC.

They came to campus without being “invited” which is evidentially a huge deal even now. This year they started trying to be more involved (doing the homecoming parade, etc.) so I think they are starting to try to push for IFC recognition. I don’t know anyone on campus who says anything bad about them, Parice just runs a tight ship. Hopefully she gets over it and helps them out!!

it takes more then just deciding to come on campus. There are a lot of resources and work greek life uses to evaluate when and who they decide to expand with. Theta Chi dug their own hole by trying to step around that.

Based on this logic they took zero resources and saved the U a bunch of money since no “resources” were needed. I get the control thing but c’mon, give them some credit and cut them a break. They deserve consideration. Even for Arkansas they have very high standards.

Party wise Theta Chi was not a good time when I went. A lot of high school girls and it was outside while freezing.
