by: spill the teaPnms please don’t base your opinions on a house based on looks. A pretty girl doesn’t necessarily fit in a top house no more than a not so pretty girl belongs in a bottom house. Kinda like the goofy farm boy who can’t believe his luck a pretty girl wants to date him and then realizes she’s got an arrest record, is a psycho stalker, slashes his tires and threatens to kill his dog! Top houses rely on connections so they can avoid this type of girl. And let’s be honest - a top house can have whoever they want so believe me they are going to take the pretty girl IF she fits all the other criteria. Meaning grades, leadership activities, great reputation, etc. Once you get to the bottom chapters they can’t be as choosy just because there aren’t as many girls left to pick from. So yeah every house puts their prettiest girls front and center on their social media but don’t discount a house based on looks. There is usually a rest of the story you may never know about!

There are too many top students who are beautiful and involved to call these pnms leftover. Get over yourself! Many 4.0 beautiful girls in all houses. The so called lower houses are not full of grade risks! There is diversity in ALL these chapters. AND the lower houses have just as much pride and love for their letters!

Then how do only a little over 150/1700 get cut by all the houses. Those grade risks are somewhere and they aren’t in the top 6 or 7 houses.

Your gpa OBVIOUSLY is not a huge contributor to your house. If houses took some grade risks- then those girls have worked and are continuing to do so as .3 is all that separates the highest and lowest GPAs. So good for the houses who look at ALL strengths a PNM has to offer! There are strong sisterhoods in these houses as well.

Hi :). Just found this site and am going through recruitment in the fall. It sounds like the truth really is be happy with what you get because maybe 10 percent of it is actually your decision. Top houses five houses not even a possibility and if your lucky, you may get to choose between ADPI and PHI MU. So to all the other pnms reading all this like me, I guess we need to take wherever the girls decide to accept us and make that chapter be the best it can be!!!!!! 😋
