My favorite houses were the other houses. ALL of them. Everyone has their own experience during recruitment. My favorites were not in the typical top 5. I went back to 1 of the typical top 5 on day 2, but wasn’t feeling it. And my day 1 impression of some of the houses changed on day 2– I am OOS and felt the other non top 5 houses were NICE. No one rolled their eyes at me like the bird house- yes- those girls who pride themselves in being top conversationalists and want to make sure we enjoy our time at their house while there rolled their eyes at me. I wanted out ASAP.

Horrible! They rolled their eyes to previous poster?? Not based on looks though surely?? Uark is the only school where I feel i can’t tell from a photo if a girl was in a top sorority or not. Hmm maybe zeta as they do have a lot of beautiful blonds, but honestly I couldn’t tell a chi-o from say a Phi Mu if I had to guess!

How long has KD been here? They have as much history as anyone. I’m not a KD. How about ADPi? Come on. All the chapters have a rich history. I guess bc KD hasn’t been here long enough for grandma to have gone alum and assure you a bid so it doesn’t have the history of ddd? This is very small minded. And ALL of the chapters from #6 on have and are working so hard on their sisterhoods. There is rich Greek life offered in these houses. Happy sisterhoods.

KD and ADPi both have super sweet girls but that doesn’t put them above TriDelt. Have to agree there is a top five and TriDelt not KD is part of that. History and tradition do matter. It says a house has sustainability as a great organization to be a part of. Newer houses will have that same opportunity. It just takes time. Until then these are the top five houses pnms are going after on day one.

I know so many girls who preffed KD over TriDelt, so no.

I ended up in a top house but I cut TriDelt day 1 and kept KD until pref. And no, not because TriDelt cut me, because I honestly loved KD. It was a really hard choice at the end of the day between my current “top” house and KD. When I got on here and saw rankings, I was genuinely surprised. But my experience isn’t like everyone’s and yeah, for sure, some people will like TriDelt more than KD, that’s just how it is!! Everyone will like specific houses more depending on what you look for. Some girls will even pref ADPi over Zeta or something like that. These rankings aren’t the same for everyone. So no, they won’t “always” pick top 5.

Top houses have a lot of PRETTY legacies. Why? Because they can choose a legacy that has the grades and the looks due to huge number of legacies that go through. Which is way way more than they give bids too. It's not a bad thing to be a legacy. They walk in the door day with pride and tradition that other girls eventually acquire. So I don't agree with the comment that its a loss to be in a legacy heavy top house.

Arkansas needs to get over the "Just Because That's The Way its Always Been" mentality. And Connections don't make you a top PNM so the houses that only bid based on connections are really starting to lose out

Continues to?? Come on now. Yes top grades by a fraction but I don't know a single pnm that would pref a sorority based on that. You either click with the girls or don't. Sadly because of sights like this the VAST majority of girls will try and keep top five throughout.

The reason why all the houses at uark have great quality girls is because top house have to cut so heavily the first night just to make the numbers more manageable. Legacy heavy top houses don't have a great advantage on social media but are harder to get a bid from therefore more desirable. I actually think this makes uark a great place to rush. Really all benefit because of this. At Alabama for example, its all based on looks. Legacy or not if your not a very pretty girl your not getting a phi mu bid. Here you can find similar girls to you in every house.

Arkansas has so many top quality pnms is because the school is pulling in top students from other states. Those top students, or the scholarship kids as Arkansas students refer to them as- are very involved and just as cute and pretty. It is a great PNM group. And those chapters who prefer Arkansas girls- please continue. The university is changing.

By top house, do you mean you were cut from all five? Did you pledge and end up where you are now happy? I bet there are a lot of crying girls through recruitment!:(

Yeah. You’ll cry. Everyone cries. It is emotional and rush is a draining week of hell. It’s the biggest sense of social rejection, getting cut from a sorority you prefed the day previous. But pretty much everyone loves where the end up if they decide to stay. It’s how the process works. You’ll end up where you should. And unless you’re perfect and have a super legacy and somehow have a perfect rush, you’ll feel that sense of rejection.

Your aunt in a house at another school is NOT a connection. Being bffs with girls in house or your mom was prez of the UARK chapter is a connection. Your roommate’s sister is recruitment chair is a connection. You went to camp and stayed friends with top house girls is a connection. Please realize what a connection is. It’s not some aunt or cousin at a non UARK school. I promise the fact that your aunt was in that chapter at some random school was given ZERO consideration. Sorry to be harsh but a connection is more personal that that.

I read a girl stalled her bf, and a girl assaulted her roommate. We're they both from the same pledge class? Is there more to bring tri delt down? Just curious because I think I would be super excited for them during rush but I am oos and don't know anyone on campus to ask about reputation etc...

It was one bad new member, not two & she was removed from the chapter. As in GONE!

Dont base your opinion of DDD (or ANY chapter) on what you read on this site, go through recruitment with an open mind and find a house that you fall in love with....who are YOUR people? You will know....

the stalker girl is a PhiMu. she had a restraining order by her former boyfriend. PhiMu knew this and still offered her a bid. she’s still a PhiMu. the TriDelt who was charged with assault was kicked out and is no longer a member. two different girls.

I thought they were not allowed to follow and like your pics and stuff after spring break? Just curious.
