I liked Tri delt and chi o the most on philanthropy day. Tri delts was super emotional with st Jude’s and chi o gets to grant the wishes they fundraise for so seems like they’re very hands on. I loved pi phi and kappa during rush but I thought philanthropy round was the weakest for them and they kinda seemed like the same thing. Phi mus is also good with children’s miracle network

Tri Delt loves their St. Jude philanthropy. I'll admit that they were almost on my cut list day one - literally a coin toss in my head. Day 2 for philanthropy, they blew me away! Raise $$ year round, take an annual trip to the hospital & UArk chapter just won their national philanthropy award....if you want to get involved with service, every chapter here does great work; just pick your flavor!

During recruitment you can definitely tell which houses care. I was on the fence about alpha chi on day 1 but ended up back there on philanthropy and was really blown away at how passionate they are about their philanthropy. I ended up in a different house but I just remember being super impressed. right after I went to aopi where they barely talked about it. TriDelt seemed very passionate about St.Jude and so many girls were crying during their presentation. It’s very obvious who cares and who doesn’t.

Chi O, Kappa, Pi Phi, and Zeta definitely picked the easiest philanthropies. Already established and those organizations have already planned the things they attend for them. I RARELY see them on campus tabling or getting the word out, with the exception of Zeta during October. Same with Tri Delt and they just go to St. Jude to take Instagram pics with each other. Never heard anything from Phi Mu either. Alpha Chi is on campus often and passionate about their philanthropy, especially since it relates so well to sororities. DG, KD, and AOII girls seem to care about their philanthropies, it’s just that theirs are hard to get behind. I love ADPi’s philanthropy!

Every house has its own thing! Some give more money and others give more time! They'll let you know during philanthropy and you can decide from there. I've found that you can be as involved or as little involved as you want with the philanthropy in any house. Houses that volunteer more usually requires a specific amount of hours to be volunteered for their organization every semester while other houses will require you to send out fifty letters to your friends and family asking for donations to their charity. Don't be afraid to ask the girls about what their house does on philanthropy day, they'll be the most accurate source!
