If "Top Houses" won't even consider Spring girls because they are "top", then that's their loss and also quite elitist. Many of the houses that took spring girls had several December grads and it seems smart to add a few quality girls in Spring. If "Top Houses" don't want to be welcoming to girls who may have been traveling during rush or weren't ready for the process for whatever reason in August, then that's their loss. When looking at the small groups of Spring girls, they seem very happy to have gotten bid. Better to be where you're welcomed and not looked down upon. Top Houses are desired for their "name brand" not for their sisterhood, happiness or welcoming nature. Hope "top" girls are happy for settling for the brand and good luck finding any genuine true friendships in those elitist houses if this is true.

Hey I’m in a top house which I joined because of the sisterhood not a brand name. Top houses would not be top if they didn’t offer a strong genuine sisterhood and welcoming environment. Same reason you joined your house. Its where I feel most at home. So tired of people bashing top houses as elitist when they really aren’t. Trust me I wouldn’t have joined my house if I didn’t feel at home. Joining for a brand name? That’s just dumb and makes you sound really jealous. Nothing wrong with COB either but don’t bash my house because we choose not to do it.

Cause KD is killin it. Not sure why girls from OOS aren’t familiar because KD is full of fabulous girls that didn’t have the so called “top house” connections. Connections don’t make you a top pnm, just connected.

Just because they don’t have tea thrown around this site doesn’t mean they aren’t known around campus for good things. So if you’re a PNM and only read the gossip on this site, it will likely only be about “never hearing anything about them” that you actually hear about KD. There are a few other sororities that I could say the same things about. From what I hear they have a very strong sisterhood and are very strong academically, even apart from their top grades this past semester. Lots of other things going for them as well.
