mip charges

I was stupid and got an MIP last weekend. I’m OOS so it’s not like that many from my hs are going to UARK but is there a way for sororities to know you got one? Do they do background checks? Would it keep me from getting a bid? I don’t have any strong connections to any of the houses.

It’s not a big deal. Girls in all houses have them and no one does background checks on you.

you should be fine if you keep it really lowkey. people do talk and it's crazy what we can uncover during work week but i wouldn't worry too much about it. stay under the radar and make sure your rep and social media is clean

Top houses would be more likely to cut for an MIP but without connections you probably wouldn’t get in anyway.

I was out of state and got an MIP in high school and was so upset I didn’t drink again until college. Ended up having a perfect rush and was president of my house eventually. Don’t sweat it at all. Houses would only know or care if it’s a reoccurring problem. Just stay out of trouble.

They will only know if someone tells them (like someone from your high school) or if you tell them (and this has happened before) so just keep it quiet and it won’t be an issue
