zeta sucks

Anyone else tired of zeta hyping themselves up so much? You’re not a “top” house. I would put zeta with kd, Phi Mu, Tri Delt, adpi.
Zeta is a good middle house but all of the rude/snobby girls who constantly brag about their “zistas” and “zouse” and act like they’re better than everyone is bringing the house down.
I feel like zeta used to be a better house but they’re losing the cute, fun, party girls they would have gotten in the past to girls to kd, Phi Mu, ADPI, even axo. Lot of weird/annoying zetas this year who are desperate for attention.
Definitely falling. However I’m sure with all the insecure zetas who patrol this site daily, this will get a lot of thumbs down.

Ok, sure Zeta. Only people who think zeta is top house are Zetas. Middle tier for sure, but stop obsessing over yourselves

That’s one thing that really bothers me ab ZTA... denying that they spring rush and looking down on other houses that do, even though they do the same thing. Just admit it, it’s not that big of a deal

Zeta gave spring bids because they had lots of December senior grads. They dropped 4 girls below quota and greek life made them. Super happy for the girls who got bids

Im the original poster and I’m actually in one of the 3 “top” houses so no need to accuse me of being in one of the other houses that I mentioned. I specifically left my own house out of my post to avoid drama and bias. This is just what I’ve seen on campus and the truth about zeta. Sorry...

AXO for sure over PhiMu. AXO has a beautiful new house with drama free girls who treat each other and other houses with respect. PhiMu has a beautiful new house with rough girls and rep risks who are rude and mean who think it’s ok to make fun of other houses as long as you don’t get caught.

So basically here is what happens. Stuck up top houses that have money such as chio and kappa take a small amount of girls that is under the quota....they then have to pay a fine because they are under the quota but think it makes them look more prestigous
maybe zeta informally spring rushed but it would probably have been only like 3 girls to get back up to the quota so they don't have to pay the fine
this is way more respectable than paying a fine so they don't have to spring rush

Ok, my roommate is a zeta so let me break down why they did COB. I think a lot of people are confused because zeta themselves calls in crowning so people thought it was something different. Zeta Epsilon chapter is huge rule followers. Their chapter is like #2 in the nation so they can't break rules. Unlike chi o and kappa, they can't pay to stay below quota because their nationals won't let them. They had the normal amount of upper classman drop (just like every sorority does) and they had like 15-20 seniors who graduated early. They only needed a couple girls so they took 4. I know it was super selective and the girls they got have great reps. They posted about it on IG and have been really excited to celebrate the girls they crowned. I don't think anyone in the chapter is trying to hide it.

I just read all of this. Not the original poster or one of the other comments. If you are a PNM look at these comments as if they’re not all from the same person and you’ll see how Greek life views Zeta. They did do COB so whoever is trying to defend that is wrong but with everything else, just look at it from both sides for a second and make an educated decision on how you feel about this house.

I think most people on campus these days consider tridelt and KD to be on the same level! Zeta, recently is beginning to be grouped with them too. Each sorority just goes for different types of girls.
