Who Cares?!?

every house cuts on the first day sweetie

I had a 3.36, in state.
i had pi phi, kd, zeta, chi o, adpi, alpha chi, dg, and tridelt
i cut kappa, dg, and aoii.


no connections at all. only had rec letters for pi phi, kd, and zeta.

Hey pnms! I ranked (you don’t cut) a top house last first day because of some hs girls I didn’t like. Guess what? I got the other top house I wanted but other than my sisters in house my friend group is mainly - you guessed it- girls in the other top house I was so quick to judge. Please keep an open mind and trust the system - top bottom middle sideways- it really does work!

i got cut by pi phi, zeta, aopi and kappa. I had a 4.0 and no recs...had chi o until the last round but got a different house on bid day. I was super upset but have grown to absolutely loveeee my "middle" house and couldn't see myself anywhere else. Trust the process and don't get too upset if the house you thought you wanted cut you because you'll end up in a house that WANTS you!! <3

Most girls will get dropped from Chi O, Kappa, Pi Phi and ZEta. The rest just depends.

i had a 3.3, OOS, received scholarship, social media is clean, was in sports and younglife in high school and had many connections in almost every house & i got cut by all of them except for tri delt, phi mu aoii, axo and dg after the first round lol. then after the second round tri delt and phi mu cut me and i was left with the three i dropped from the first round so i dropped rush. most houses cut if ur a grade risk which is considered a 3.4 or lower even if you have everything else!

Clean social media and lots of high school involvement
first day I cut ADPi, AXO and DG, but I got all 3 back because I was cut by Chi O, pi phi, Zeta and tri delt.
My ranking after day 1 (from my rush journal) is this:
1. pi phi
2. KD
3. Kappa
4. Chi O
5. Zeta
6. Phi Mu
7. AOPi
8. Tri Delt
9. ADPi
10. AXO
11. DG

I ended up receiving all the houses I cut back because I was cut by pi phi, zeta, tri delt, and Chi O.
I did receive Kappa back- which I was shocked about seeming that i had a 3.4 and 0 connections with any houses!
I'm really happy with my "middle" tier house, whatever that means.. and you will be happy with whichever house wants you to join their sisterhood as well!
I understand that my rankings may be different than what is "usual" (according to this website which isn't realistic at all) but this was my honest, unbiased opinion and I am very happy that I recorded this all in my journal so that I can see the way I truly felt going through recruitment.

I’m out of state, 3.8 GPA, rec letter for every house. Not really any connections.

First day I kept-

And cut Tri Delt, AOPii, and DG.

However, I ended up being cut by Pi Phi and Tri Delt, so I ended up with 7 of the 8 I wanted and AOpii.

Overall, I had a good rush but felt like it was hard to not listen to stereotypes and “rankings.” I made some dumb decisions about which houses to cut based solely on ranks. For example, I never felt like I connected at chi o or fit in at all. However, I continued to request them back because they’re “top house”. They ended up cutting me on the third day.

I didn’t get too disappointed until pref day, when I was cut by kappa. Kappa was my favorite house during rush, they do a great job with recruitment. I was devastated. However, this is funny to look back on now because I would not fit in with kappa at all.

I ended up in a “middle” tier house that I love and had a great connection with since day 1. Once I stopped paying attention to the ratings and seeing where I really fit in, that’s when I made the best choice! Could not be more thankful to end up where I am and I’m honestly happy that kappa cut me, despite how upset I was at the time.
