out of state chances

by: pnm

So I know at some schools like Alabama, Auburn, and Ole Miss it can be really hard for oos girls to get a full schedule each day. Is it like that here or do most oos girls have as much of a chance at the houses as everyone else?

most houses don't care about where you're from except for chi omega, and even then they have a handful of oos girls. don't worry about it, just focus on getting recs and being yourself during recruitment!!

This is truth.

With 1700 pnms and 11 sororities it is mathematically unlikely that you will have a full schedule for every day.

from oos and kept all my top houses through pref and went a top house where I knew no one in my pc. it can happen. if you don’t have a full schedule it’s on you.

Odds are you won't have a full schedule everyday, a lot don't. I was OOS and did have a full schedule everyday but had 2 early on that I ranked and it took a couple days for them to drop off my schedule. I had 2 great houses by pref and couldn't have gone wrong either way. Good luck!

Actually even chi o has a lot of oos girls from what I’ve noticed. Obviously they still have a lot of Little Rock/Jonesboro and other Arkansas towns. But big groups from Memphis, KC, and all over Texas

Yes!! I’m from Texas and I had a full schedule every day. I did come in knowing at least one girl in almost every house though. Connections really do help. Be yourself and have stories that make you stand out. Think of traits and life experiences that someone would remember you by. Really put yourself out there!! That’s really all you can do! Good luck!
