the top houses (kappa, zeta, pi phi, chi o) cut at 3.4 or below- no exceptions. other houses vary- usually around 3.3 for tri delt. all the other houses take some grade risks (3.2 or below). this doesn't mean they don't get great girls with 4.0s...it just means they aren't as strict with the gpa cut off.

just want to say that "the truth" is bs'ing you. I had a 3.33 on the dot going into rush and made it past chi o, kkg, and pi phi's initial cut. kkg is knownnn for having the best grades and i commend them for their hard work, but they for sure rushed a girl with a 2.9 (not hating, and know the girl for sure had the 2.9.... its not gossip and it doesn't make kappa look bad, the girl just had something going for her that kkg liked).

moral of the story is that if you have great convos and have something going for you that catches their attention, you CAN get past grade cuts. its very difficult to stand out but i believe in you!!

Thanks for the info. I have 3.5 and I can’t see it changing that much before rush next year. I am just a ltitle nervous because I am OOS. I am a legacy to one of the so called top houses and my mom is still very active but not sure if that chapter will be for me or me for them. I do have several recs for each one so I am hoping I won’t be an automatic cut for not having any real connections to current chapter members.

I was a high school queem!!! I had a 4.2.!!! Cheerleader...!!! ..Been TO STATE In four .SPORTS State runner up in one. Cute well dressed dad works for very prominent employeelr inNWA HAD recs... .....30 on the ACT. . YADA YADA YADA. YADA YADA. was cut by kappa and chi o the first day.!! I Didn’t know a SOUL in their house. I fPledged the perfect house for me!! Not the best or the worst. PERFECT FOR ME !!!The process works!!! You want to be in a house that is you !!!! B. Stop being competitive and start being smart!!!!

It’s sad to me that GPA is such a make it or break it!!!! There are so many girls that have a 3.0 or above. Grade don’t come easy to everyone. I know that the top houses lost out to some amazing girls just because of their GPA. Grades should never define a girl. NOT EVER!!!!! What should- their character, Service to their community, etc but certainly not grades.
