parent weekend/dads day

by:

Parents this weekend will see their beautiful daughters who found their home with a great sisterhood! I promise you no dad will know the difference between a PhiMu or an AOPi or a ChiO house or tier. Only that their daughter is happy. Be more like dad!

Those moms whose daughters were cut from their top legacy house will know.

My mom is still pissed I was cut from her house right before pref. Other top houses cut me because they assumed I’d go my legacy house. Things don’t always work out like you expect. I’m still wondering what the heck they saw in some girls over me.

With pledge classes at 150, why can’t a house take all their legacies? Are there really that many going through? Any upper class members care to share how many legacies to their chapter actually we’re signed up for rush? I’m not mad about it but I am Curious, enlighten me please, thank you.

ChiO and Kappa took 102 not 150 this year. Kappa had almost 40 pnms who had sisters currently in house and ChiO had almost that many. There were enough chapter legacies to fill an entire pledge class and another pledge class could be filled with just legacies without a Uark connection. That’s almost 250 girls. There are so many top quality girls coming through recruitment who aren’t legacies that chapters have to make some serious sometimes heartbreaking legacy cuts to make room for these top quality pnms in their pledge classes.

Be happy that your legacy house released you before pref. It gave you the opportunity to open your eyes and look at something else.

Why would any house just accept all the legacies. My sister and I are so different and we are both different then our Mom. Yes we have similar interest etc.. but you have to look at fit. Why would I take a legacy that had a 3.25 good involvement. When their might be a PNM that has a 3.5 good involvement and clicks just a little bit better. Just because she isn't a legacy we should release her??
I am just glad that we don't have alumni breathing down our necks.

Sometimes legacies come to the house and they think they don't have to have great conversations or empress us or worse they think that they are all ready in. Big turn off.

I was Chi-O legacy but I had no interest in running up and down the beach with my Bible. It’s just not something I am interested in at all.
