Why was it only for a year and not four years like most others when they are kicked off? Seems a light punishment to me.

They were cleared of any wrongdoing in the video. The suspension is for an alleged hazing incident. You can look all over the internet and see they were not held at fault for the video and pics. Stop spreading fake news.

Googled and found a diversion order plea for 100 community service hours. Then I googled again and found about 20 different news sources with articles and reports about an active civil suit and the defendants were:
LAMBDA CHI ALPHA PROPERTIES INC
GAMMA CHI ZETA OF LAMBDA CHI ALPHA
LAMBDA CHI ALPHA CORPORATION OF FAYETTEVILLE ARKANSAS
LAMBDA CHI ALPHA FRATERNITY INC

August 7, 2018 KATV “The specific nature of the violations cannot be discussed, however, Flanigan said it was not related to a video voyeurism incident that took place in September of 2017.” It was not with a sorority member and now they are trying to make it a racial incident since the girl was AA and the guy was white.

So because it wasn’t with a sorority member you basically do not care? Wow! What you shared is stating that the university suspended them from campus over a totally separate issue. So in addition to the diversion order issued in a court of law regarding voyuerism charges and an ongoing active civil suit the university has suspended them for something else they have done wrong. So more trouble on top of the trouble they were already involved in.
