"top houses"
by: TruthJust because Chi O likes tells everyone they are tops doesn't make it so. Their alumni shove local legacies down their throat and have way to much say over who gets in. Yes, they get great pledge classes, but so does everyone else. To say Chi O/Kappa get the top pnm's is ridiculous. Everyone has a different opinion on what makes a "top" pnm for their house. Their parent's having money or their members having designer bags/clothes/drive bmw's doesn't make one a top chapter. I saw lots of Louis and Chanels at Phi Mu, AOPI and KD too. Chi O has just as many awkward, average girls as any other chapter. For some reason they just like to act like they don't. Arkansas greek life will never reach it's full potential as long as sororities continue to belittle each other and cut each other down. Chi O and Kappa, you are singled out because you are the worst at doing that. Not b/c you are considered "top" and everyone else is jealous!

How many pnms ranked KD PhiMu or AOPi over ChiO and Kappa? Oh, right. There were none. It’s not the houses it’s the pnms doing the rankings themselves. There is a reason top houses took so many less pnms than other houses. Panhellenic decides that not the houses. If you look at rankings if falls exactly in line with how many pnms each house took. Top houses only took 102 and 103 pnms. Bottom house took in the 150-170 range.

Top houses exist at ALL schools with Greek life. Alabama has top houses and so do schools in the north with only one or two houses. Y’all act like ChiO and Kappa invented the concept of top house here to make themselves superior. Like everything in life there is a top and bottom so please stop whining about how your house is a top house too. Not everyone gets a prize and it’s ok. Be happy with where you are. It’s obviously where you felt meant to be. Please don’t come on here all bitter and slamming top houses because they cut you. Sad thing is top houses could care less about y’all or your comments. It’s the middle and lower houses on here trying to bash everyone else to build themselves up. Recruitment is over. Give it a rest at least until this pc is initiated.

The size of pledge class doesn't have anything to do with how well the sorority recruited. It is determined on the chapter's total at the end of the Spring semester. That means if a lot of members (think seniors and juniors) dropped in the previous year, the upcoming pledge is going to be larger to make up for those losses.

I happen to know of several instances where "one of those other houses" were actually chosen over Kappa after pref. so you don't really know, now do you
