high school gpa & rush

by: PNM

I have been trying to do a lot of research about high school GPA and how it effects your chances of getting cut from a sorority. It doesn’t seem like there’s very definitive information online about what GPA will make sure you’re not cut first round. On a lot of videos I’ve watched they say that first round, many girls get cut due to GPA but I have absolutely no idea what that cut off would be. I have a 3.65 unweighted GPA and a 4.0 Weighted GPA and also got a 30 on my ACT (which i’m not sure if it matters either). I’m really involved in my school and community but I didn’t get any academic scholarship (besides my OOS scholarship), which really worries me because I must be rushing up against some girls with pretty stacked resumes. If anyone could let me know anything having to do with my situation, that would be amazing.

whatever is on your resume. but a 3.65 should have you meeting grade requirements at probably all houses

You will be fine!!!! Your GPA is better than that of many girls going through recruitment. If it ever comes into question, your ACT speaks for itself!

I think where you attend high school should also be considered. For example, a college predatory private school curriculum cannot really be compared to a public school.

many public school districts in Texas and Kansas City suburbs are college prep and far above better or equal to many private schools. But yes, school/school district should be factored.

top houses cut at 3.4. The fact you went to a private vs public school or you took all honors classes is not considered. It’s an easy first day cut. You either meet the gpa cut off or you don’t. Sorry.
