bid day numbers

How many girls does each house take? Is it the same for every house? Who decides? Can they add one if they want like if ChiO can only take 150 but they really want 151 can they do that?

Every sorority has a number of girls it wants to take in and that differs from house to house. A smaller/newer chapter needs to take in more girls to fill their ranks to match the older and larger houses. I don't know of any reason my sorority would not take a girl if we really wanted her but I imagine if it came down to it we would start comparing things like GPA and community service to decide if we should take her over other girls.

Every year is different for how many bids each chapter can give. It can be anywhere from 90-160. But I’m pretty sure the past couple years the average has been 120-140. Like the first commenter said, the number of bids depends on how many active members the chapter already has.

Panhellenic tells each chapter the number of bids they should give. Sometimes chapters give more bids than their quota.

By junior and senior year both classes combined will not have 100 girls.
