automatic cuts?

by: Wondering

Do UARK sororities automatically cut someone who is re-rushing? In other words, if someone didn't get a bid as a freshman and goes through as a sophomore, will most sororities cut because she had been cut before?

Once cut , always cut is a thing. So if they cut you as a freshman they will cut you again. Why do you think it will be different? It’s even more competitive as a sophomore

It depends on why you were cut last time. Was it grades and have you improved them? Did you not have recs and letters last time but took the time to get them this time? Did you make solid friendships with last year's new members who are this year's actives. Yes you have a harder course to go of it but well worth it. Good luck to you and i wish you the best in rush!

It can actually work to your advantage. If you have a good personality, established campus presence(RSO involvement), somewhere close to a 4.0 gpa, friends in sororities. Maybe not a “top house” who only rush freshman girls, but you have a chance.

even top houses don’t automatically cut you for re-rushing. depends on your situation.
