There are not any required activities for pnms other than weekly meetings and initiation Every single other activity is totally optional. There really aren't that many activities and functions. Maybe 5 a year and that's including formals and again if you do not want to attend any of them you do not have to.

If you are wanting to leave all the time then why pledge? Isn't the point to make new friends and get involved in campus life? Honestly, you should wait to pledge until spring or next year to see if it's something you really want to do. Not fair to take a spot from someone who really wants to be a part of greek life if you aren't committed to U of A or greek life.

Agree 100 percent. If you are this worried about seeing high school friends rather than making new ones and creating a life at U of A don't go greek.

I didn’t mean leave every weekend, only like once or twice a semester.

Why can't they leave? Sororities do not have anything on the weekends. Why are people misleading and lying to pnms? Bid day, homecoming and possibly two functions which are usually on Thursday and that is it for the first semester! Why give these girls the impression that there are endless sisterhood activities happening all the time, that is 100% not the truth!
