I believe the university supplies the verified unweighted gpa to Panhellenic which is the gpa the chapters use.
In the past, Panhellenic has contacted PNMs that have extremely low gpas and explained to them their chances of having a successful recruitment. PNMs can then decide if they would still like to go through recruitment or not.

Just set a clear guideline on GPA and make all houses follow it or don't have it at all. What's the purpose of having a rule if no one abides by it? Once you receive a bid and break a rule set by the house are there consuquences or are those rules not followed either? A 4.0 at a small town public school isn't that difficult to achieve. A 3.25 from a college prep academy is far more challenging. Girls go through rush from all these little towns with high GPAs but barely score high enough on the ACT to enter college.
