Which houses cut you on the first day? Does anyone ever get cut first day from a bottom tier house or is it all top houses?

We've cut girls before who didn't act interested. I'm not in a top house so it may be different there.

If she was a top and a top that they wanted they should have know her well enough to know she was shy. Probably just a top because of some alum and using the shy excuse whether true or not is used all the time. I guess it's actually kind of a lie more than an excuse.

I'm in a so called bottom house. It's so disheartening when pnms come through and act rudely and very obviously don't want to be there. I know we may not be your first choice but you could at least act nice for the few minutes you are with us.

we do cut girls even tops who aren't excited about us during recruitment. you can tell the difference in who is shy versus indifferent. there is no secret code to that.

first day grade cuts will happen below 3.35. don't go crying after the first day saying you don't know why a top house cut you when your gpa is below this. they may smiling and having a great convo with you but you will still be gone by the next morning!

ChiO and Kappa will cut below a 3.35 maybe 3.4. They will even cut an in house sister for this so they are hard core about their gpa. If you have above a 3.0 you should be ok with the other houses.

Can you read? She asked what the requirement was in order to go through rush? lol The houses should willing except any girl's gpa that meets the requirements set by Panhellenic in order to go through rush.

Do they know before recruitment starts who they are cutting for grades or do they wait until the first day is over? Will they give you a hint and say something like we like you but your gpa is too low? How do you know if you were cut for grades or something else?

Since it's obvious you can't spell my guess is you are in a bottom house that will ACCEPT not except anyone who meets the minimum gpa. What pnms are really wanting to know is the gpa for top houses so the poster was trying to help then out. Obviously as the week goes on and pnms are cut they will consider bottom houses with low gpas and actives that cannot spell but I don't think any pnm starts the week wanting AChiO over ChiO.

I am in a middle tier house. We also cut for grades in the first round. We change the minimum every year based on numbers and our recruitment goals but it is usually between a 3.0 and a 3.3.

my gpa is super low at 3.30.... i overloaded myself junior year with 6 aps each and im super concerned i'll get cut by most houses bc of it... i regret pushing myself bc now it may hurt me rushing wise. are the difficulty of the classes taken looked at or just the number by my name? i am actually considering not rushing now

your overall gpa is what counts not your courses. Your gpa will be fine with all houses except ChiO and Kappa. They won't take you as a soph so go ahead and go through recruitment now! You will find your home!

those houses will most likely will cut you first round unless you are very borderline and have a lot of other things going for you. make sure you have great conversations
