it depends. it's mostly top houses if you are still a desired PNM. middle and bottom houses don't cut as much but could definitely still cut you first round. I was kept by 3/5 top houses first round but cut by KD because of a girl from my HS that knew I wasn't interested in KD. anything is possible

consider yourself very lucky if you still have zeta, chi o, kappa or pi phi after first round. and thank them for having you back throughout the week. SHOW YOUR INTEREST. I am in one of the above houses and TRUST ME it helps if you show how much you love and appreciate our house and being asked back. that could be the deciding factor that could have you cut if we can't tell you are super interested

they say it never happens but i kept all my tops all the way through pref. went a top house where i knew some girls but knew no one in other top houses. now that I'm on the other side i know top houses talk to one another. so even though I knew no one in those other houses they knew all about me.

I ranked ChiO last after the first day. I went another top house so it all worked out but I'm sure my gamma Chi thought I was crazy when I told her what I did.

A girl pledged a top house last year that I know for a fact went to sigma chi and stayed with her boyfriend her entire senior year. So obviously they are not that selective!

Be prepared. The top 5 or 6 houses will cut more than 1000 pnms each after the first party rounds. Basically the low hanging fruit are those with less than a 3.4, those with in house sisters or big alum moms, poor reputation, or complete conversation failures. Speak up and make sure your dream house knows you are interested if you get brought back after 1st round.

Agree 100%. Pnms don't be afraid to let us know what you are thinking. We aren't mind readers. One year it was raining and all the pnms were griping about their hair and shoes. Well this one pnm comes in smiling and laughing. She told us she loved us so much she would have swam to our house. I'm in a top house and of course she got her bid!

ChiO and Kappa will cut around 1200 first day. PiPhi around 800. The other houses not that many. Really depends on the year.

She was shy. We really didn't think she wanted to be there is the oldest excuse ever. Everyone knows that move. My two aunts used it in the 90s and both of my sisters 20 years later were told to use it too. The advisor has you say it when you really have no reason to cut a pnm other than you just don't want them or the advisor has someone she wants more. Put the blame on the pnm and off the house.
