rerushing kappa
by: wpsi dropped recruitment this year because I just didn't click with the houses I had left. I am rerushing in the fall. kappa cut me right before pref. what are my chances with them as a soph? i really like the ones i met this year in my dorm.

Highly doubt kappa would give you a bid. It’s just a thing--they only want incoming freshman. They aren’t the only house like that. It’s nothing personal just tradition I guess. Unless you have established 4.00, active on campus, know a bunch of the girls, etc then maybe there is a chance.

Sounds like you weren't very open your first go around. If you re-rush your chances of getting a "house you want" are even smaller. I DOUBT you will even make it past Kappa's first round. You should be thankful and gracious with whatever groups you have left. I have a feeling you will drop out again though. If you didn't like what you had left then you certainly won't like what you get this fall.

During your second recruitment go-round you will have to keep a very open mind when 1) receiving invitations to parties and 2) when/if you are preffed and bid.
Remember to include on your recruitment roster homes you might not believe to be "for you", as they may be the only ones allowed to invite you (some homes have a once cut, always cut policy).
Obviously you will again have to option to "drop" from recruitment should your mind remain firm that our groups do not have your and their best interests in mind when they do not invite you back.
