if actives start following you it doesn't mean you're on their "bid list". no one has a bid list until bid day. it probably doesn't mean much they may just want to see your Instagram. following them back won't mess up chances with other sororities. just be sure to not just follow girls in that one sorority or other sororities may notice that. follow other sorority's instagram pages. we look and see if girls are specifically only following the official sorority pages they're interested in

So should I follow all the sororities now so it doesn't look like I'm interested in one but not another? I don't want to hurt my chances anywhere. Thank you for the helpful advice. I wasn't sure where else to ask.

i totally get it because i was in your shoes last year! i knew many girls in one specific sorority and they would always comment on my instagram and i was scared other sororities would notice and think i was only interested in that sorority. turns out they ended up cutting me anyway after round 3 and i still ended up in a great house. if i were you i wouldn't overthink it but we can tell if a PNM has a lot of friends in a certain sorority and we pay attention to who they stay with when they visit, etc. instagram doesn't matter a whole lot

ALWAYS follow actives back that follow you first. Don't follow actives first though, unless you know them personally.

Either follow all of the sorority's chapter instagrams or none of them. You don't want to look like you're picking favorites.

Try not to associate just with one sorority.

Ultimately, all getting followers from a sorority means is that you are on their radar. Someone has brought you to the attention of the chapter or just told a few of their friends about you and said to follow you. This may be as far as it goes. You may slip through, or girls in the chapter may really try to get to know you to see if you would be a good fit or not. Do NOT look to far into the followers. It is exciting and fun but in the end it doesn't mean you get a bid just because some sorority girls followed you and it doesn't mean you get cut just because some didn't.
