real advice

well it looks like my gpa will be maybe a 2.9. i have recs in place already, am considered cute, several clubs and I do volunteer work. should I go through recruitment now or wait until I'm a sophomore? im sorry but I don't want to be in a lower tier house only cause of grades when I could be in a top house the next year. real advice only please from girls in my situation. I'm already upset enough with myself but can't change things now so please don't make it worse by saying how good lower tiers are.

Rushing as a sophomore DRAMATICALLY reduces your chances at a any house. I would rush now while you still can!

Yes, recs and cute instas and GPA matter but there are girls who have everything good on paper but go in the house and it’s like talking to a brick wall. So don’t rule out “lower tier” houses when you could end up having great connections with them during rush. Good luck

Maybe consider spring rush? It doesn’t hurt to try and it could spare you a lot of time, money, and heartache if you choose to fall rush as a sophomore
