I have a 3.48 mostly because I went through a lot this year with family Issues. I'm very active in my school, I hold leadership positions and have studied overseas. I've interned at reputable places and my ACT score is in the mid 30s. Will I be cut because of how low my GPA is for sororitys? Honestly am so concerned bc I have rec letters and friends in most houses but I'm worried I'll be cut bc of my GPA. I'm also from Alabama, so I just don't know what's going to happen.

I had a 3.4 and got into a top house. your GPA is totally acceptable and it sounds like you have other things going for you. don't stress

3.4 or above is good! You will be fine!

once grade cuts are made usually day one grades don't get looked at again. a 3.3 will get you cut but a 3.4 is the same as 4.0.

It depends on the house. Kappas are known for harsh grade cuts but houses like AXO and DG your gpa really doesn't matter much.

Grades DO matter at these houses! I was cut from one of the above mentioned houses for grades! I re-rushed in spring and got in due to grade improvement. Don't give this girl false hope~!
