How many rec letters do I need for the top houses?

At least 2 per house, including AGD for Fall 2018.

Does this apply for fraternities too? Like the need recommendations

if I don't get recs for the houses I don't want wouldn't i then get invited back to the houses i do since the other houses would have cut me for no recs? make sense?

No chapter is required to invite you back. It is possible, however unlikely, for you to be released from every chapter after the first round. Not having a recommendation for any house only hurts your chance of getting an invite to the next round, and ultimately receiving a bid from any chapter.

Not all houses will cut you for not having a rec, if they like you, they will keep inviting you back! Try to get recs for every house if you can, I promise it will only help you in the long run! If you purposely don’t get recs for houses you “don’t like”, you are in more of a position to be disappointed during rush, in my opinion. Go in with an open mind.

Get one for each house and 2-3 for the houses you really like

Try to get at least one recommendation for each chapter and refer to the uark greek life website for more info about how each chapter prefers the recommendations to be sent
