No one was bragging. Someone asked what quota was. The answer is it is variable. That is a fact. Arkansas uses variable quota like most universities do now. It is variable because some groups have been here a really long time so their chapters are naturally larger in size.
The other question was how many pledges did groups take. People answered with a number. Because the logical answer to "How many?" is usually a number. No one said, "We only took 4 because we are so TOP."

Well, quotas aren't really variable. Panhellenic still sets quota, which is the same for everybody. But there is such a thing called quota additions, and almost every group gets some - some get a lot. It's a way to place the most women possible in sororities. It's worked very, very well all across the country, and is responsible for the growth of sororities at every campus on which that method is used.
