quota, bids and theme

varies from house to house based on total # of members. I heard that getting a bid or your top pref this year was brutal. The addition of another sorority forced Panhellenic to make some houses total a lot smaller than in the past because they needed PNMs to funnel down to even out chapter sizes.

AXO was candyland theme. They had the pink and blue colors.
ADPI was focused around diamonds (makes sense)
AOPI was Coachella theme.
TriDelt had a color splash theme ? bright neon colors
DG was a carnival theme but with their colors pink and blue.
XO was like a comic book theme. ?
PBP had red white and blue.
Zeta was 90s theme.
KD wore green. not sure the theme.
Kappa wore blue. Theme was bid day birthday.
And I'm not sure about phimu theme.

Arkansas uses a variable quota so each group has a different quota that moves all groups toward a consistent house total that is for the common good. Quotas will have range and they may be <insert big/little> numbers apart.
Just glad it gives a lot more women the chance to GO GREEK!

I am assuming you went through recruitment and it did not work at how you had hoped.
Cuts have to be made. They must be made because you can not place 1700 girls in 4 or 5 groups.
Did it occur to you that the other "50%" that you think did not exclude girls are hurt themselves because girls (PNMs) think they are just a little too good to be a part of their sisterhood?
I'm guessing you could have been in a sorority today. I'm guessing at least a few sororities thought you would make a great sister and would have fit in nicely with their wonderful group of women. But, girls chose to exclude them and hurt them because they thought that certain sisterhoods were just not up to par for them.
Do you think that is hurtful or hypocritical? I do. It goes both ways.

No. I've never been through rush. Bragging on how many girls you can take where the lower the number the more important it makes you just doesn't seem very nice. Why wouldn't they think they are too good? Isn't that the impression one group tries to give about the other.? Aren't they made to believe they aren't THE TOP so that wouldn't be good enough?
