sophomore rush

Approximately how many sophomores go through rush each year and does anyone know what percentage get into a house? Are there any houses that absolutely do not take sophomores?

Why do all the legitimate questions get ignored and the pathetic, petty, self ranking questions get answered on an hourly basis? Please tell me the UArk greek system is better than this!

Because nobody knows the answer and can't answer for other houses. I know of several houses that are willing to take sophomores. I'm not aware of anybody who absolutely doesn't! We just aren't privy to this kind of information...

I pledged as a sophomore as I was a transfer; however, this was years ago and before U of A went with crazy huge pledge classes. When I went through, if I remember correctly, our house took at least 2 sophomores most years. And I know for a fact that juniors didn't count against quota back then. Call the Panhellenic office and ask them the rules for quota as a sophomore now that it's different and see if every house has a limit or a requirement. I would spend my time this year hanging out with the girls in the houses you really like so that they will fight for you come next summer during work week. Don't get discouraged. There will be a place for you next year if it's meant to be.

If you are a random soph top houses won't take you. Even connections won't help. Maybe if you are a chapter legacy with an in house sister and even then most likely it's a no.

Houses that do not take sophs: the ones where your daughter wants to be a member. And: nice book/blog you must be writing about SEC rush since we can't answer a question here and you get all huffy about it.

there is only one house that absolutely does not take sophomores. All other have in the past, and will in the future.
